Lexi's First Piggy Bank

We decided this year that we wanted to start teaching Lexi about money.

We believe the earlier they can learn about it, the better. 

At first we had jars for her to put her saved coins in but soon after, we spotted this purple piggy bank at the dollar store and I just couldn't resist. 

And Lexi just loves it. (So does Izaac lol)

It's been fun to give her harder jobs that we don't expect her to do on a daily basis for some money and to watch her really work for something or you know, rub our backs or feet =) 

She really gets so excited too when she gets to put the quarters or whatever it is in her piggy bank. 

And will then just stare at it with such a proud look in her eyes, like, "Ya, I did that"

It's well... adorable.

So far she has gotten to buy a couple little treats at the store.

This has also been really fun and interesting to watch because she really thinks hard about what she wants to actually purchase. 

The first time, she took almost 5 whole minutes standing in front of the candy section at the check out and I was actually getting frustrated because she would not make up her mind!
