Lake Pleasant

We got a pretty amazing call last week from Jacob and Cari, informing us that they had just purchased a boat. That's right, a real boat!

Which meant we were going to start having lots of fun and memorable trips out on the water. And of course, we started that very weekend. Thanks Jake and Cari for letting us be apart of the first adventure. We had so much fun =)

 We headed down to Phoenix last weekend and early Saturday morning we got up and headed to Lake Pleasant. 

It was such a beautiful day. And I had no idea how big this lake was! 

This one was not too happy about being directly in the sun though. She claimed it was "way too hot"... which was nuts because it was only like 9 in the morning!

But as soon as we got to a spot and she jumped in the water, she was happy as a clam.

We found an amazing spot that we could dock at that had no people, lots of places to sit, and a deep enough area about 10 feet out that you could enjoy some real swimming in. It was pretty perfect.

After some breakfast on the shore, some of the kids took turns knee boarding. And Lexi was SOOOO excited to be able to do it again after Lake Powell. She really is the coolest. 

Izaac of course, mostly stayed on the shore, playing with sticks, pretending they were guns, and throwing rocks or "bombs" into the water =)

We all had such a great time. 

Izaac actually got into the water at the end!

It's not the biggest boat when we are all on it at the same time lol but it did it's job and it felt so awesome being out there on the water with the sun beating down on us. I just love that feeling. 

I am so glad Jake and Cari bought this thing. It's gonna be pretty amazing to have.
