Winter Wonderland

It keeps snowing up north and so of course, we had to go and check it out. 

And this year, Jacob and Cari felt the same way, so their family joined us.

We didn't go up to Mount Mingus this time but instead went over near a place called, Stoneman Lake. I didn't think it was as nice or pretty as Mingus but it was still lots of fun... well until both kids decided to fall in the ice water and then cry their eyes out =)

Unfortunately, there was quite the little stream of water a couple feet from the road that you had to cross in order to get further out. Well, it wasn't easy to pass, especially for little tykes with loose boots lol

So both kids managed to lose their boots, several times... I might add, which resulted in freezing soaked little feet. But let me just say, they are both alive to tell the tale =)

Before they kept freezing their little feet off though, they had lots of fun. It was nice to have Jacob and Cari with us too. 

When we were done, we all came back to our house and had hot chocolate, pizza, and then played games till super late. Perfect afternoon.
