Spooky Jack-O-lanterns

This year was a bit different with our pumpkin situation.
Usually we pick out pumpkins at a patch but this year, we unfortunately didn't make it to one. Jimmy's schedule was pretty hectic for the month of October and the timing was just never right.

So pumpkins from Walmart it was.

We had an extra fun surprise though the last weekend of October, that made it much more acceptable that we didn't get to go pumpkin picking.

Aunt Amanda came to visit!
We drove down to Phoenix Saturday night to get her and stayed in Phoenix at my parent's for a couple days, so that we could trick or treat in their neighborhood on Monday without having to do the trip back and forth.

So before it got dark on Sunday night (Hallow's Eve) we all went into the back yard to make our jack-o-laterns.

Both kids were determined that they be "spooky" ones....
I'll let you decide if that ended up being the case.

The spookiest part for me all night, was looking over and seeing Izaac holding a knife.

It was so fun to have Amanda there with us. We are so glad that she came to visit!
