Christmas Tree

The kids kept asking over and over again, when we were finally going to go and get our Christmas tree. I don't think it helped that late November, I let them both pick out an ornament at hobby lobby either. They were both eager to get a tree ever since.

However, Daddy's schedule was a bit hectic the beginning of December so it was hard to find a good time to go. Whenever he could go, Lexi was in school and whenever Lexi could go, Jimmy was at work lol.

Finally, late one afternoon, we found a good time to go! And both kids were ecstatic. Lexi even brought her binoculars to make sure she spotted the best tree that there was. 

However, there were no good ones =( It was just too late in the day.

So we ended up just getting Taco Bell and going home lol

Two days later, we actually opted to keep Lexi home from school and went earlier in the morning.

This time we found a winner!

So we packed it up and headed home.

And man, some things are just getting easier easier now that the kids are getting older. I didn't have to vacuum up a single pine needle because the kids wanted to get them all themselves!

In fact, Lexi had me leave the room because she wanted to "surprise" me that she had gotten all of the "tiny pines".  

We all love staring at the tree and now it really feels like Christmas. Nothing beats the smell either!
