Surprise!!

We all thought this Christmas was going to be pretty low key. 

It was actually kind of a strange feeling.

Well two weeks before Christmas, Tommy and Holly changed all that.

They had decided to drive down to Arizona for Christmas! What?!?

This made things much more exciting. 

Tommy also had the idea of surprising mom and dad. And we decided that it would probably work best if we all went out to dinner on Christmas Eve and surprise them at the restaurant.  

Our family has always had the tradition of eating out on Christmas Eve, and this year my parents had planned on going out with Bret and Tevia's family. (They thought Jacob and Cari would be up in Cottonwood with us) 

Little did they know, all their other kids' would be joining them too =)

Tommy and Holly came down to Cottonwood on a Thursday night and spent the next day with us here with Jacob and Cari's family and then on Saturday we all went down to Phoenix.

 Jacob volunteered to have Tommy's family and our family stay there for the whole next week! So let me tell you, packing for Christmas and a whole week after that, wasn't easy lol. Our van was PACKED.

Anyways, when we left to drive down it was snowing! It was pretty crazy. It was so fun though. It just really made it feel like Christmas. Both kids were stoked to see all the snow falling!

We were having dinner at Macaroni Grill and they had two big tables ready for us in the back. Eventually we were all there and waiting for mom and dad, who literally had no idea that anyone except Bret's family would be there.

And it was the coolest thing to see their reaction when they saw all of us. Dad even started crying. I really wish I had it on video. It was such an amazing feeling to be there with everyone. I am really glad we got to do that.

After dinner, we all went over to Bret and Tevia's. And eventually headed back over to Jacob's to put the kids to bed and set up for Christmas morning. Such a great night!
