The Real Deal Cherry Pie

We finally did it! We finally picked a good amount of cherries off of our cherry tree in the front yard! 

Every year we test them and they are a bit sour so we wait. And then we forget... and so many of them are wasted. We got about a bowl last year but this year we get the prize!

Which happened to be....

a scrumptious homemade cherry pie!

Though I'm not too sure I'll ever do it again, unless I find a better way of pitting the cherries. The way I did it was way harder than I would like to admit.

Anyways, it was delicious.

And the kids absolutely loved helping me pick the cherries. They took turns on the ladder and thought it was the best thing ever.
