Izaac James Turns One!

Izaac is ONE! Holy cow little boy! 

It's funny.

As a mama who has been with her tiny itsy 6 lb baby boy for the last 365 days of his life, it still just feels so unreal. 

One who might not see him too often could say, "Whoa, what happened to that little baby!"

But I too, just feel the same way!

 What happened to you Iz Piz!?!

I feel this past month, Izaac has grown more than usual too. He really just is not a baby anymore!

I mean, from the looks of it, obviously (the boy is huge) but he is growing so fast intellectually as well. 

He's starting to understand lots of different concepts

Like....

how to go backwards off the couch

not to go down the stairs by himself

not to throw toys out of the tub

how to put toys away (he is awesome at this!)

how to use stickers

what the word NO! really means

And he is doing so many more things

dancing with his arms, body, and head

pointing at everything

saying lots of "fake" words like, dabdubabananu

trying to use a fork

washing his own body in the tub

literally crawling at lightening speed

and drinking with a sippy cup

Izaac, you are still just the sweetest loving little boy. 

You love to cuddle with your mommy and I can't even express how wonderful this is and you always share everything you have. You love to give your snacks and toys away.

I think it says a lot about your character already.

You also are still very very easy going. We must have taken you to a million places in New York and every place, you just sit and look around. You love to look at people and take everything in. 

Your favorite thing is definitely your green polka dotted blanket. Not only do you sleep with it and eat it now, but you also take it around the house with you. Which is ADORABLE considering the fact that you still crawl. (It's not that easy to do, but you do it anyways)

You never make a sound when you are put to bed. You just go to bed. And when you wake up, you are usually just happy as can be. Lexi still loves to open the door first when you wake up and I know that you enjoy this as well. 

You love your sister. 

There have been a few times when she has gotten in trouble or gotten hurt and you just look so sad or cried yourself. 

I can't imagine what life would be like without you. This past year has honestly been the greatest in my entire life. I love you more than words could ever say!

You still only eat crayons instead of coloring with them

You love to play in the toy car on the deck

You LOVE water! You're literally giddy with joy when given a sip from a cup or water bottle

Your favorite food is definitely macaroni and cheese

Your favorite snack is veggie sticks

You still HATE to get dressed or have your diaper changed

You get so so sad if you see mommy or daddy leave and close the door

You weigh 26 pounds

and you are 30 inches long, almost 31

You can point to mommy or daddy's nose and head now

And you LOVE peekaboo and the "chase me" game
