18 Big Months Old!

Oh Izaac, you are now 18 months old!! 

Time is flying by and you just keep on getting cuter and cuter, & bigger and bigger!

Did i mention you just keep getting bigger and bigger =)

You are such a joy to our family and we all just adore you. It really is a race to who gets to you first when you wake up from your nap, especially if Daddy is home. You are just too cute! 

You are also incredibly smart and learn at least one new word a day now. You ask and point to everything, to learn what it is called and it's so fun to introduce you to the world around you. You just take it all in. And I just love this about you. I love how you are so serene, observant, and careful.

This is probably why one of your most favorite things to do is read. Seriously, you will hop up and run as fast as you can, to get a book as soon as someone offers to read you one, and it is so common for me to find you on the floor, just reading to your self. You will sit for up to a half an hour, just reading all by your lonesome.

Your two favorite books (they are tied) are "Where the Wild Things are" and "The Monster at the End of the Book"

There is definitely another side of you though. And that would be the mischief side. 

You can be a serious and absolute trouble maker...

You get into literally EVERYTHING. We have had to hide all of the DVD's, I have had to move stuff around in the pantry, and my kitchen cabinets, the bathroom doors still have to remain shut AT ALL times, and we have to unplug and hide all of our devices from you. 

.... you have made countless phone calls, our filing cabinets have been emptied way too many times, if there is a tissue box or thing of wipes in your grasp, it doesn't stand a chance, and the list could just go on and on.

But the funny thing is, is that you hate to get in trouble. (Or you are an incredibly good fake) 

Because when we even raise our voice at you or talk sternly, you lose it. 

And if you get spanked, it's like the end of the world just took place.

So you are either insanely brave, not too bright, or again, a fake & just brilliant.

Only time will tell I guess =)

You are still such a good eater and it is awesome. You eat almost anything and if you don't like it, you'll still eat it, you just spit what you don't like out, and keep going. (This can be a hilarious thing to watch)

You love apples and eat one almost daily (as long as I have them in the house) and you love pizza. 

(This makes us love you a little bit more)

In fact, one of your first words was pizza.

And last, you are still a very big mama's boy, and I gotta say, I love love love it. 

You always make me feel wanted and appreciated and as a mom, it's hard to beat that feeling. 

I just love when you come to check in (you sit on my lap for a couple seconds and then you are off again) or when you climb up onto my lap if we put on a movie or a show, or when you pat my back when you give me a hug. I hope that you always know how much I love you.

Loves & Hates

You still love your blanket with every fiber of your being. Sometimes I actually have nightmares of losing it for this very purpose.

You absolutely love to dance. It doesn't matter what the song is, as soon as you hear a tune, you start to shake, even if it's on a quick commercial or from a holiday card. 

You love baths and now that you can climb out of your highchair, you get down fast as lightening when you hear the word "bath"

You hate bugs and they scare you to death, as well as lizards. 

You STILL hate getting your diaper changed and getting dressed/undressed. You think by now, you would just accept the reality of it but no =)

You love being tickled (you main spots are on your neck and under your arms) and it's SO fun to hear you laugh so hard.

You love playing patty cake, especially the part when we mark the spot on your hand, you think it's hilarious

You hate being too high or feeling like you are going to fall, you scream like a baby (go figure, hehe)

You hate when any door is shut in front of you. I swear a dementor could leave our house and close the door and you would still be so sad. 

You love to go outside and get so mad when we make you come in

You LOVE whip cream, and if the fridge lock is ever found unlocked, the whip cream bottle is always your first go to.

and you love/have an obsession with shoes, you just always want them on.

Fun Facts

Even though you don't do any other sign language, you always do "more" and it's actually very helpful because it lets me know when you are truly done with something or not

You only eat the jelly side of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich

You are definitely right handed and will only throw, color, and eat with your right hand

You refuse to use your hand when you have a spoon or fork in front of you... even if you have to use your hand to put in on the utensil first 

You had a couple weeks of bad sleeping but are back to sleeping 12 hours a night. 7:30 to 7:30-8. It's well... the best thing ever

Oh, and you still sleep with your blanket in your mouth... every single time

You can go down the stairs in under 5 seconds now, literally you are that fast

You say dozens of words now and I should record them but I won't for now. My favorite words that you say though are, thank you, bye (just because you have to wave as you say it), Lexi, pizza, and no. 

You have started to say no  ALOT but it still hasn't gotten old, it's just so funny when you say it

And you weigh 28 pounds are roughly 32 inches tall... it's kind of hard to measure your height lol
