Hi Beach!

We are in San Diego!!

We have been wanting to go to the beach all year and we finally got to go this weekend! 

And it felt so good to put our toes in the ocean. It was Zavier's first time too!

The ride there was pretty great, mostly because we rented a new suburban for the trip and didn't take the van lol. We did this because well, the van, isn't doing too great and also because we had mom and dad with us. So it worked out perfect.

It was nice that we got to go with mom and dad. We really missed them and it's wonderful to spend time with them again. Plus, extra adults at the ocean is always a good thing lol

We did what we did last time and drove right up to the beach first. No hotel. And it was so fun to watch the kids run and jump in the water. It was especially fun to watch Izaac enjoy the water. He has always been so scared and this time he was all about it! Lexi of course, was all about the waves and water too. And Zavier seemed to like it too! 

Every time we come here I am instantly reminded why people live in California. There is nothing like the ocean. 

After we splashed around for a bit we meandered over to the hotel and got in some fresh dry clothes and then went out to get dinner and then some ice cream.

(This was daunting because I forgot just how many clothes I need for the kids when we go to the beach, since every time we go out, they get dirty or wet...)

They don't seem to notice that much well, at least not the for the dirty part haha

We had a great night and it was fun for me because now that the kids are getting older, it is SO much easier to get some smiling pictures!
