San Diego!

What a fun day! 

And busy!

Here's a quick run down.

It wasn't long after we woke up that we took off for the beach. 

This time in the proper apparel. 

We went to La Jolla because well, we just love it there.

However, there were definitely way more people there than the last time we went. A lot more sea weed  too! There were mounds of it everywhere!

Anyways, we checked off all the stuff on our beach to do list:

Find shells

Jump in the waves.

Make a sand castle.

Get buried in the sand.

See a dolphin.

Take a nap (on Daddy's list)

Chase a seagull.

Eat snacks.

And last but not least, HAVE FUN! 

 

 By the time we left, Zavier was literally covered head to toe in sand. And in some mysterious way that I will never understand, he was completely fine with it! LOL

I, however, was thankful when he was washed off over at the hotel. It was much more pleasing to snuggle and hold him.

Back at the hotel, we ate some pizza (which was not the greatest) took a quick rest, and then went back out again.

This time we went to the other side of La Jolla by the cliffs and rocks. 

Which was so gorgeous.

We saw so many sea lions. And the weather couldn't have been more perfect.

And of course, by the end of it all, the kids were wet and dirty again hahaha

We had found a smaller beach than this morning, more so like a little cove, that had much stronger waves, that the kids just loved. 

I think I took a hundred pictures of just them dancing, running, and jumping in the waves. It was just the cutest thing to watch. 

But we wanted to go walk the pier during sunset...So on we went.

 And it was so pretty walking the pier! It was the perfect timing. Zavier was not loving it though. I was hoping that walking in the stroller would change his mood but it didn't lol

But the rest of us had fun.

And the party even carried on later at the hotel that night. 

Zavier, on the other hand, was still not a happy camper.

I think he was still mad at us for not letting him get out and play at the smaller beach. Eventually though, he fell sound asleep. 

And it another day was done =)

The next day, didn't last so long...

I only have a handful of pictures to prove it.

The adults were kind of ready to just head back home the next morning but Lexi and Izaac were determined to go back to the beach for one more round. 

And we were all suckers and let them make the choice lol

Anyways, we didn't last too long. But the kids enjoyed their last small beach adventure. They even got to fly some kites. 

After about an hour we got back on the road. And waved good bye to California.
