Zavier's Basketball Bash!

Our Zavy baby turned two today!

TWO!

I just cannot believe that we have had our zave babe now, for a whole two whole years!

He sure has made every single one of those days better for all of us =)

Zave of course, got to wake up to streamers and balloons. Though it did take him a second to really enjoy them. He was actually kind of scared at first. And he also wasn't in the happiest mood....

He clearly didn't' understand
 why everyone was in there and causing a commotion lol.

After some balloon fun, we all went downstairs to watch him see his new trampoline for the first time (his main gift). We thought it was the perfect gift for him. And he definitely likes it =) BUT again it took him a long time  to even jump on it because he was acting crazy weird with all the attention from all of us lol

Then we made pancakes shaped like 2's and Z's. Did he know this? No, of course not lol but he definitely liked them! Mostly the whipped cream. And you know we gave him extra today =)

We played with him a lot this morning and listened to the music super loud. And then eventually mommy started to finish his cake while he took a nap. And then it was perfect timing because as soon as he woke up, Grandma and Grandpa got here!

And like usual, he was over joyed to see Grandpa.

We let him open his gifts pretty soon after that but he kind of lost interest after he opened this one police car from his nona. He really loved it. But after we got him to open up the scooter, he was all about that for a while. This was from his Aunt Amanda and he loves it! He does so good on it too! It's extra cute because he likes to wear the helmet too. It's adorable =)
Oh, he's also a pro at it. Which is the most amazing thing to watch.

And then a little bit later, Jacob and Bret's families came to join us for some pizza and cake!
And here is where he definitely became a little off again. He clung to Grandpa a little bit tighter than usual lol. And he was definitely a little bit nervous when everyone was singing to him. 

We did a basketball cake this year. Because well if you know anything about Zavier, it's that he LOVES basketball lol and it was cute because he definitely was excited that it was a ball. I also made some bball cookies which he liked too. But they honestly were a mom fail. The black icing tasted fine but made one heck of a mess. I kept chasing after kids that were eating cookies to make sure the black frosting didn't end up on my pillows or couch aha!
Never again lol

 I loved having everyone around, especially during the birthday cake part. I think it's so amazing to look around and see everyone. It makes me feel so grateful.

Zavier didn't quite understand how to blow out his candle on his cake but his big brother was more than willing to help him out.

We are so in love with our Zave.
