Horse Camp!

Last year my friend Sarah's kids went to this horse camp that was already too full. But this year we got lucky and got in! This woman does it every year for only a handful of kids each Spring Break. They live on a farm, only five minutes from us! And are such a nice family.

Anyways, it was so cute and totally worth the small price. She really does it just to be nice which I just think is so awesome. I am so glad we got to go this year!

She has all sorts of animals and the kids got to chase and catch chickens (Lexi did. Izaac could never get one lol), ride pigs, ride and take care of horses, and play with the goats, who honestly acted like dogs. Seriously. 

She also had snacks for the kids and some crafts, including painting and decorating a horse shoe that they got to take home.

Anyways, it was two days and a couple hours each day.

And it was perfect weather each day. This made it so nice for me and Zave too because we just got to play and observe outside while the other kids did their thing and it was just so refreshing since it was so nice out.

Zave especially liked the chickens. However, he was not a fan of the goats. I think they were just way too friendly for him. They really would not leave us alone lol

So on the first day, they got to play and run around for a bit. Then, they learned about chickens, fed them, and got to collect the eggs from their coop. Then, they learned about horses. They got to brush and feed them, as well as saddle them up, and ride them for a bit. 

And then they got to do some crafts.
Oh! They also got to paint the horses and will be washing them off tomorrow.

It was so fun and again, I am so grateful they got to have this experience. It was so relaxed that honestly they really got to do whatever they wanted and really got to handle the horses first hand.
