The Hot Hike

You win some, you lose some.

Another thing on the bucket list .... was a hike.

Well it's getting hotter by the second over here (literally every second counts)

And so in order to get in a hike, we had to kind of be done before that sun was up.

Ya... that didn't happen.

Just as me and the kids were getting in the car, Jimmy decided to come! Which was awesome but also cost us some minutes lol

And then, as we got to the park entrance, we realized my wallet was not in the console of the car where it usually was... but on the kitchen counter.. oh boy. I completely forgot that I had taken it out.

And Jimmy forgot to bring his.

(We owed the park seven bucks)

Well I was ready to throw in the towel and just suggested we just go another day but Jimmy was determined to still go LOL

So we went back home, got the wallet, and went back to the park.

And the sun. He was out.

And blaring down on us.

So we didn't last long.

BUT honestly, it turned out to be really fun. Jimmy raced the kids back as soon as they started to join the complaining train and before we knew it we were out to breakfast and not in the hot sun.

Again, you win some you lose some =)
